"There is no relation between the Communist Party and the CND or the Committee of 100. For the sake of world peace, we deplore fanatical anti-Communism but we equally deplore fanatical pro-Communism. We have no mechanism for excluding anybody who sincerely works for peace, and therefore it may be that there are some Communists among us, but, if there are, they are neither numerous or influential in our organizations."
