BR would have answered his letter earlier, but he had been struck with a severe attack of flu. "It is very interesting that you and your brother have discovered a proof of the four colour theorem. It is very worrying that no competent person has been found to examine your logical work. I am inclined to think that Quine might be the best person if he were willing....
