"I have probably known Russell as well as anyone in these later years, have visited him repeatedly, travelled with him, and of course did a very great deal of work with and for him—how much I don't think even he really knows." She remembers "the day we started from New York for MIT Boston for a lecture ... and got so engrossed in conversation at the airport that we missed the plane!" She worked to publicize the Russell-Einstein Manifesto; it didn't just happen on its own. "BR had more influence on our time than almost anyone, including Churchill."
