The ribbon copy has an annotation in BR's hand on Bishop Colenso: "[Who wrote the text-book of arithmetic on which we were brought up.]"
Frank had asked BR whether Newton would have liked him: "I'm sure Colenso wouldn't." (BR annotated "Bishop Colenso"'s appearance in Papers 10: 551.)
Elsewhere Frank doubts he will understand his present of Our Knowledge of the External World: "I remember with suspicion that the Times said that about your horrors!" (The New Statesman had said OKEW was "intelligible".) (What can "horrors" refer to?)
