Rotblat is sorry he and Eaton do not agree on the outcome of the conference, as he has spoken to several people since the Pugwash Conference who unanimously agree that the statement is a good document. On the question of a comparison with nuclear weapons, here too the unanimous opinion was that such a comparison was absolutely necessary, particular in view of suggestions made in some quarters that there is no need to worry unduly about nuclear weapons, when an even greater menace exists in biological and chemical weapons."
