Davies quotes a letter he received from BR: "The uncertainty and expense of temporary arrangements, and the inconvenience of absence from my books and personal possessions, become increasingly irksome." BR will not extend Dora's tenancy at Telegraph House beyond July 25th, 1934, unless she decides to stay there until midsummer 1937. In that event, he will allow her tenancy for £100 a year.
