Davies has still not heard from Maw and has written to him to inquire if an agreement has been reached and to notify him that BR will be leaving "to-day" (July 28) for his holiday. There is a handwritten postscript informing BR that since Davies wrote the above Maw telephoned, "... saying that he will soon be sending to us a copy of the instructions which he proposes to give to counsel."
