Davies has spoken with Maw since his first letter to BR. "He has now telephoned that he has made a consultation with Mr. Bayford K.C. who says that divorce proceedings as things stand would be almost hopeless and recommends a separation deed fixing about money and the children, and if then Dora were to live chaste for a time (say until the school is abandoned) and you were to continue to live in sin it would be possible for her to petition for divorce with much better chance of success and if it were granted the court would order the same arrangements as under the separation deed about money and children."
